Empathy grows not just from our successes, but also from the shadows we've navigated. For thirty years, I wrestled with a mental health issue, a journey that deepened my understanding of the human spirit and the battles we silently fight. This personal experience, coupled with my professional background, enables me to connect on a profound level with those I serve.
Initially, my desire to create positive change led me to a fulfilling career in Human Resources. Over time, this evolved into my current role as a faith-based counselor. My mission is to support a diverse array of individuals from adolescents to adults as they grapple with both everyday challenges and more intricate concerns such as anger, anxiety, depression, stress management, post-traumatic stress disorder, grief recovery, and substance use.
I hold a deep conviction that genuine healing emerges from within. This inner strength is magnified when we embrace faith and maintain a readiness for collaboration. Recognizing that everyone has their unique battles, I incorporate a range of therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Reality Therapy. Drawing wisdom from spiritual and practical teachings of the Bible, I aim to guide individuals towards a path of hope and restoration.
In 2023, I obtained my Masters in Clinical Mental Health from Harrison Graduate School at Southwest Assemblies of God University and obtained my LPC Associate in November 2023.
